FAQ on Sunday Services

Here are more details about our in-person Sunday Services at Orchard School. Please do contact us at the church office, if you have any other queries not covered below.

+ Pre-Booking

You will no longer need to pre-book a space! Just come!

+ Timings

Our service will start at 10.30am, but please feel free to arrive any time from 10am.

+ Hygiene

As part of our hire of Orchard School, the spaces we use will be cleaned before and after our use. Hand sanitiser will be easily accessible.

+ Facemasks

We are asking everyone to wear a face mask as you move around inside the building, and while you are singing (unless you are exempt). We are very conscious that gathering together is a big step, and while face masks are optional right now, please respect that some may feel more comfortable, and safe, as we do this.

+ Social Distancing

We will be setting out chairs in varying sized groups to enable a bit of space for those that want it, and to have the option of sitting with others or not. Again, please keep in mind and respect what others are comfortable with.

+ Families

We are excited to be able to have Children’s Church and Youth provision again. More details to follow, but please contact our Children’s Church leadership team if you have questions, or would like to help out on a Sunday!

+ Service Content

In our services there will be time to be all together, to worship, to catch up, engage with a talk, and pray with/for each other. We want to encourage you to get involved in our times together, there may be space to share what’s happening in life, to encourage each other through prophetic words, to respond and chat about a talk that’s shared – all kinds of fun stuff!

+ Worship

We can sing, which is great! Please wear your face mask as you do this.

+ Access

We welcome anyone with accessibility requirements and will endeavour to accommodate any needs you may have. Please get in touch prior to your visit so we can make sure the necessary arrangements are made.

+ Communion

We will share communion together, generally on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. You can bring your own bread & wine/juice (or equivalent), and we will have some available too.

+ Refreshments

We will serve tea and coffee after the service, and we’d love you to stay around and chat! We will serve these in a slightly different place to encourage a flow of people and reduce lots of people chatting in one space. Please do bring your own re-usable cup if you have one. And if you’d like to join our ‘Hospitality Team’ and serve drinks on a Sunday, get in touch!

+ COVID-19 Symptoms

If you have been diagnosed with, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (persistent cough, high temperature, loss of taste/smell) you must not come to a service. Likewise, if you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 please follow the self-isolation guidelines. Please stay at home and stay safe.

+ Contact Us

If you have any questions please drop an email to info@ebe.org.uk or phone the church office on 0117 9791399, and someone will get back to you.
We hope to see you soon!
