At Ebe Church we have a full safeguarding policy, covering both children and vulnerable adults, which can be requested from safeguarding@ebe.org.uk
We recognise that our work with children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of the whole church. It is the responsibility of each of us to protect and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults entrusted to the church’s care and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.
The Church Leaders have the spiritual oversight of the church and the Trustees have the practical and compliance oversight of the church. Collectively they share responsibility to ensure that:
1. - Children’s workers and those working with vulnerable adults are given support and training in developing safe, caring practices in their work.
2. - There is a system for dealing with concerns about possible abuse.
3. - Good links are maintained with statutory authorities.
