Bristol City WFC

Esther Legg-Bagg has been chaplain at Bristol City WFC since 2015. She is at training with the team once a week and goes to as many home and away games as she can fit in!

“My role recognises that players are people and more than just a product or set of statistics. I’m there to support players and staff on and off the pitch. Sometimes it’s helpful to have someone to talk through life stuff, whether that’s good or bad, football related or not. That’s what I’m there for.

One of the main perks of the job is getting to watch a lot of football! But mostly it’s getting to know some amazing people. I have a lot of love and respect for the players and staff I work with.

It’s been great having the players get involved with helping out with Foodbank Christmas Hampers. I’m always very proud of them!”
