Day 12

Repair

(Download today’s creative thought here)

Bible verses: Isaiah 58:12
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Today we’re going to have a think about something that is broken.
There’s a lot of brokenness around us and sometimes that can feel overwhelming, but we can be people who are a part of the repairing process – as God encourages us in verse 12.
It might be a friendship or relationship. It might be someone who is poorly. It might be something sad you see in your community. Or maybe it’s something in the news that seems unfair and unjust.

  • Write, draw, or create something visual that will remind you to pray for the broken thing you have thought about.

  • Maybe find a plaster, and stick it on your words/picture, or on your phone, or somewhere you will see it throughout today, to remind you that God can, and does, repair things that are broken.

  • Say thanks to God for where you can see brokenness being repaired. And as you pray, ask God what part you can play in repairing stuff that’s broken.
