On Sunday 5th February, it was great to have Matt Wilson (Head of Partnerships) from TLG
speaking at Ebe and encouraging and inspiring us to consider 'including the excluded', particularly in context of children struggling in our schools. Watch or listen
to his talk.
TLG exists because we believe that every child deserves to be loved, feel safe and have an education. Every day, there are children across the UK that are facing difficult circumstances in their lives or tragic situations such as bereavement, family breakdown, poverty or being in the care system. We are passionate about bringing a hope and a future to children and families with our partner churches across the UK. We intervene at the crossroads to bring support, care and education to make sure that children have a hope for the future and that their life is not over before it’s even started.
TLG Early Intervention
This is one of initiatives that TLG supports local churches with and that we are looking into starting up with local school(s). The programme enables trained volunteers to become coaches and work on a one to one basis with children, with the overall aim of improving a child’s behaviour and in turn raise their levels of learning. It simply requires - One coach, one child, one hour a week.
