7.30-9.30pm at Ebenezer Church building
We have been running the Alpha course in Ebe for over 15 years and seen so many people come to discover more about the Christian Faith and make life choices about following Jesus. We want to encourage everyone in Ebe to come to one of these evenings to give you a taster of how we run Alpha in Ebe.
Each evening will start with buffet meal, followed by a talk (live or using excellent dvds) and discussion in groups. The purpose of these evenings is for you to have a glimpse of what you could invite your friends to.
Please click on one of the dates below and register yourself so we know numbers for catering purposes or pick up a sign up card on Sunday and fill it in.
TLG exists because we believe that every child deserves to be loved, feel safe and have an education. Every day, there are children across the UK that are facing difficult circumstances in their lives or tragic situations such as bereavement, family breakdown, poverty or being in the care system. We are passionate about bringing a hope and a future to children and families with our partner churches across the UK. We intervene at the crossroads to bring support, care and education to make sure that children have a hope for the future and that their life is not over before it’s even started.
TLG Early InterventionThis is one of initiatives that TLG supports local churches with and that we are looking into starting up with local school(s). The programme enables trained volunteers to become coaches and work on a one to one basis with children, with the overall aim of improving a child’s behaviour and in turn raise their levels of learning. It simply requires - One coach, one child, one hour a week.
More details on the TLG website here or contact Rachel V or Derek to find out more.
TLG Early Intervention gives the church a practical solution to support children, families and schools in their community.
Bristol Noise is committed to serving in urban estate communities in Bristol. The vision is showing God's love in practical ways. The first high profile Noise weekend was in 2001, with 30 volunteers. In May 2016, 860+ volunteers (aged 5 - 83 years old) were involved in serving the urban estates in North, East and Central Bristol.
We are looking forward to The Noise 2017 (29 April - 1 May) and wanted to share with you the exciting news of how the Noise weekend will be growing this year .
The Noise is going to be happening in Fishponds in East Bristol for the first time, in partnership with Fishponds Baptist Church and other local churches.
We are also delighted to announce that following an invitation and discussion with local churches - The Noise 2017 will be happening in Knowle West, South Bristol for the first time.
Watch our website and social media for more updates.
This year, the Noise is are also facing challenges. The charity has been very grateful for support from Neighbourhood Partnerships (NP) for many family fun afternoons run on The Noise weekend over many years. However, over the last few months, all grant funding from NP has been 'frozen' and so they are looking for alternative funding of £3200+.
If you can help to support Bristol Noise financially or can point them in the direction of suitable grant funds then please get in touch. Please pray for this charity as they continue to trust in God for His provision.
Finally, you can now register as a Noise volunteer for The Noise 2017 (29th April - 1st May) - www.thenoise.org.uk/volunteer

The Bible highlights prophecy among the spiritual gifts and tells us to “earnestly desire” them. Paul encourages us all to reach out for the prophetic gifts.
Prophecy simply means God speaking to and through us to other people.
God has a desire to communicate. That is why He created us in His image (Genesis 1:26). The entire Bible is a testimony of God speaking to and with humans and desiring fellowship with them. He is first and foremost longing for a relationship with us. What kind of relationship would it be if communication was mainly one-sided?
As children of God we have the privilege of hearing God's voice and being led by His Spirit. These are two significant characteristics of belonging to Him. Hearing God's voice is not only for a few but for all of His children.
If God speaks to us personally, then it is very likely and easy for Him to use us to speak His words to other people.
It’s good to remember that:
* we prophesy in and out of love as our primary attitude (1 Corinthians 13:2)
* a prophetic word will always align with and not contradict God’s Word
* Paul tells us to test every prophecy (1 Thessalonians 5: 20-21). In our imperfection and process of growth, we all make mistakes once in a while.
We’re offering opportunities over our 24-7 Prayer Week for you to have a team of 2/3 people specifically listen to God for you.
They will sit quietly for 5-10 minutes, and then share what they feel they have heard. This might be a word, verse from the Bible, a picture.
They will write out a summary for you to take home, and offer to pray for you.
