'continually reproducing the life of Jesus...'

Prayer Jars

George Muller had an impressive track record when it came to prayer! Why was he so keen to be writing down his prayers and those answers to prayer? Was it to impress us? To inspire us? To make us feel guilty? I’m pretty sure that when he wrote down those 50,000 prayers and 30,000 answers in his journal he had no idea we’d be reading them now! It was between him and God, he knew he could bring anything big or small to God, and he knew that it was important to celebrate the times he saw answers!!

So as part of our year of prayer we’re giving everyone the opportunity to have their very own prayer jar!!

We've got a load to be thankful for, even in amongst the rubbish, and the 'I don't know how this story is going to end' stuff. Sometimes we're not great at noticing and take for granted the good God bits in our day to day life. So grab yourself one of our jars. Put it somewhere you can't miss, write the good God stuff down, stick it in the jar, don’t be shy to share and celebrate it.

We’ll give opportunities to share and encourage each other with this throughout the year.

If you weren't around on Sunday or missed out on a jar, grab one this week!

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)
